The Israel Young Academy hosted a conference with outstanding young Israeli and Asian scientists on February 11-12, 2018. 40 researchers from several countries, including Japan, Thailand, South Korea, China, India, the Philippines, Vietnam and others, participated.

 

The participants presented their research in environmental studies, technology and the social sciences, and discussed ways to make scientific research accessible to larger sectors of society.

 

Prof. Ada Yonath, 2009 Nobel laureate in chemistry and a member of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities, was the guest of honor and delivered the keynote address.
